• Present environmentally connected strengths, weaknesses, challenges  and opportunities within the community
  • Present students and young community residents’ STEM-based projects, inventions, concepts, activities to potentially
    meet and resolve community needs
  • Determine anticipated or established results, key benefits and next steps of current or recently completed community
    initiatives  and match ongoing and future activities with student project teams that could deliver measurable results for
    each initiative
  • Identify, locate, determine value of and strategically allocate community resources that could lead to sustainable
    community, workforce and economic development that directly benefits and impacts the Adamsville community
  • Develop  a revised platform of performance measures for student project teams to work from
  • Present and package one cohesive community redevelopment program  for the next 5-10 years.
T.R.E.N.D.S. was developed to help promote and support
student research that could deliver solutions and support
systems for development, implementation, testing, and scale-
up of implementation (test) models.

T.R.E.N.D.S. projects will target students and teachers
(Grades K-12) that are engaged in STEM workforce
development in:
  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Cyberlearning
  • Cyberinfrastructure tools
  • Networked computing and
  • Communications technologies
NEXT Steps will host an annual Research & Development Trends Forum that will demonstrate the effectiveness of our
strategic organizational growth model.  The R&D T.R.E.N.D.S. Forum will:
