We're depending on you to listen, then act.
We know that, as business owners and working professionals, you expect to have
your time and resources valued. The worst to encounter are students that are
disrespectful and insensitive to what you're bringing to the table. That's why
students that participate in the NSYEP training program are taught how to
approach volunteers and business professionals within the community and
demonstrate -- through their behaviors and attitudes -- the high value they place
on the products and services they are going to request accessibility to.
Expect our students to approach you with their mission statements (their 10
second elevator speeches) and a precise request for support and participation in
their upcoming events and activities. This will include our PotLuck Dinners,
Community Awareness Meetings, Community and School Gardens, Sankofa
Guild fundraiseres, R&D T.R.E.N.D.S. Science Fairs, NSYEP training sessions
and much, much more.
Please let us know if we can count on you to help us out . . . especially if you live
in the communities of our NSYEP Training Sites. Just click on the VolunteerMatch
logo to your left to register with our organization. We can't wait for you to join us!
