As the saying goes, it takes each and every one of us to make the NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program a success.
Our "village" mindset allows us to re-build relationships, bridge communication gaps, and restore honor, respect and
dignity to those who are perceived to be "at risk" to fail. But it is going to take hard work, dedication and a commitment to
succeed.
Now, don't get us wrong! Even though it seems like a lot, NEXT Steps participants will have a lot of fun working in the spirit
of teamwork, camaraderie and friendship. NSYEP members will form a 'corporation' to assess the needs of their community.
They will then develop a calendar of initiatives: workshops, health fairs, demonstrations, special events and tie-in
promotions centered around social entrepreneurism.
The Next Steps membership program will assist in:
- Promoting the development of the community surrounding their host/participating organization
- Increasing student loyalty towards achieving personal and professional goals
- Providing predictable revenue streams (seed monies) from student-created/managed events
- Conducting “backyard” inventories to increase awareness and use of community and personal
resources
- Developing products and services for trade or sale through research and development, market
analysis and testing
- Providing professional management training to enhance college entry and career options.
Participation Fees
NEXT Step participants will pay an annual $35 membership fee. In exchange, they will receive a
NEXT Steps certificate and card with a unique ID number. Members will be entitled to discounts
and benefits created and offered through all Next Steps events. In addition, current members will
be able to participate in all instructional business develop training courses and programs (based
upon reservations and availability).
WE BELIEVE IN OUR VILLAGE!
